We have three different models. In the first place, there is the Realme Q2 Pro 5G, which stands out for offering a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel, a hole in the screen and a fingerprint reader integrated under the panel. Protected with Gorilla Glass, the Realme Q2 Pro promises a theoretical ratio of 90.8% with a 20: 9 format and FullHD + resolution.
The Realme Q2 5G instead decides to incorporate a 6.5-inch LCD panel, with a similar appearance. Still, in this case, it incorporates a side fingerprint reader, and the screen offers up to 120 Hz refresh rate, again showing the dilemma of choosing between an AMOLED panel (usually reserved for the more expensive model) and a 120 Hz panel.
In third place is the Realme Q2i, an entry-level model that does maintain 5G connectivity but its panel has HD resolution.
Inside the Pro model and the Realme Q2, we have a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset, manufactured in 7 nanometers. For the Q2i, it is committed to a more modest Density of 720.
Along with the processor we have 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM in the Realme Q2 Pro and 4 or 6 GB options for the Realme Q2. The storage starts from 128 GB in all three devices, but only the Pro model also goes up to 256 GB with UFS 2.1.
As with the screen, we have two different versions; something similar happens with the battery. The Realme Q2 Pro 5G arrives with 4,300 mAh but incorporates a 65W SuperDart fast charge. Very rare to find in this price range except in OPPO brands such as Realme.
The Realme Q2 increases its capacity to 5,000 mAh but remains at a not inconsiderable 30W. The entry model Q2i drops to 18W.
The Realme Q2 series offers 5G connectivity in the three models, Bluetooth 5.0, Android 10, USB type C and in the Realme Q2, a microSD card and 3.5mm jack are also incorporated.
For the photographic section, we have a quadruple-camera in the Realme Q2 Pro, with a 48-megapixel main sensor with f / 1.8 aperture and accompanied by an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor, f / 2.3 lens and a 119-degree field.
Finally, two extra two-megapixel sensors are added for depth and the macro effect with a 4-centimetre focal length. The standard Realme Q2 loses the depth lens, which additionally allows for generating black and white effects. Under the hole in the screen, the new Realme Q2 adds a 16-megapixel sensor.
The new Realme Q2 have been presented in China, where they will be available from November 1. It is unknown at the moment if it will reach other markets. The Realme Q2 Pro will be available in white colour with gradients and a grey shade with a leather cover. The Realme Q2 5G arrives in silver and blue tones, in the same way as the Q2i.
